Behind The Bar For February 2015

Miller Lite Cans2015 is off to a great start as is the “Behind The Bar” project here on the blog.  This post will be updated during the month of February 2015 as I have a night out or a cocktail at home.

  1. Home Sweet Home – 2.1.2015
    Great Lakes Christmas Ale x 4
    Had the in-laws and Gramp over to watch the Super Bowl last night. Just sort of grazed on pizza, veggies & beer all afternoon / evening. GREAT game even though I hated the outcome (Pats win).
  2. Lincoln Tap House / Quicken Loans Arena – 2.2.2015
    Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale / Miller Lite
    Went to dinner at the Lincoln Tap House with A before the Cavs game. Ran into some co-workers walking into the game who were sitting in the company loge. 2 minutes into the game I got a text and we were in the suite as well. Win.

    Red Wine
    Had an absolutley terrible commute home this evening. A glass of wine with dinner (buffalo chicken chili which was awesome) helped.
  4. The Winking Lizard (Bedford) – 2.6.2015
    Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout, Gringolandia Fabulosa Porter, Fat Tire
    Stopped by the Lizard on the way home from work after a long week…
  5. Ray’s Place – 2.7.2015
    Fat Tire
    Went to Ray’s before the Kent / Miami game with the family & the Rosenfelds.
  6. The Winking Lizard (Bedford) – 2.11.2015
    Conway’s Irish Ale, Red’s Rye IPA, Arrogant Bastard Ale, Yuengling Porter
    Went to the Lizard for our 2nd Wednesday of the month night out. Got there early, went home early. Good night.
  7. Granite City Brewery – 2.12.2015
    Beer
    Went to Granite City to celebrate Mom’s birthday. Had a flight of beer samplers and Broad Axe Stout. Great evening out with the family.
  8. Lincoln Tap House – 2.13.2015
    Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale / Jack Daniel’s
    Went to the Tap after another day long agile training session for a much needed happy hour with co-workers.
  9. Akira (Solon) – 2.15.2015
    Sapporo
    Took the family to dinner at Akira to celebrate Valentine’s Day a day late (everyone was sick yesterday) and a successful move into our new home.
  10. Winking Lizard (Independence) – 2.19.2015
    Beer
    Went to the Lizard with some co-workers after an all day off site meeting for agile planning. The session went better than I’d expected it to go, but beer was necessary afterword.
  11. Winking Lizard (Independence) – 2.20.2015
    Beer
    Back to the Lizard for the second day, at the same table, with the same waitress after our second day of planning. Was a great way to end the week.
  12. Marko’s – 2.22.2015
    Jack Daniel’s 
    Went over to Marko’s to watch WWE Fastlane. We typically get the families together but with A & G sick they didn’t go so I just went over after putting the kids down. Good event on the way to WrestleMania and JD always makes things better.
  13. Winking Lizard (Bedford & Chagrin) – 2.25.2015
    Beer / Bulleit Rye
    Went out for drinks with the guys. 2 beers and 2 Bulleits and was home by 10:00.  I’m fat man… no bueno.
  14. Lincoln Tap House / Chili’s – 2.27.2015
    Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale / Miller Lite
    Went to the Tap House after work for a quick couple before heading home. End of a long week. Ale was good as always, but tasted “watered down”. Weird. Met A and the boys at Skyzone and we went to Chili’s for dinner. Miller Lite with fajitas for the win.
