Behind The Bar For November 2014

BevBench At The LizardI love beer. Love it. And whiskey. Cause whiskey is awesome.  Hell, come to think of it, I’m a big fan of most liquid libations. I started a project last year where I kept track of  the amount and frequency of my drinking.  I’m calling that project “Behind The Bar”. This post will be updated during the month of November 2014 as I have a night out or a cocktail at home.  Stay tuned!

    Knob Creek / Barktoberfest
    Enjoyed a Barktoberfest with dinner after a long day of unpacking.  Doing some work and had a small glass of Knob Creek to celebrate the weekend.
  2. Mom & Dad’s – 11.2.2014
    Perfect Manhattan x 2
    Went to Mom & Dad’s to celebrate Meg’s birthday. Love family dinner regardless of the reason.
  3. Winking Lizard (Bedford) – 11.4.2014
    Deschutes Jubelale, Ellie’s Brown Ale, Harvest Ale
    Stopped by the Lizard after a particularly rough day at the office where I’d recently found out I didn’t get an internal promotion.
  4. Chili’s (Macedonia) – 11.6.2014
    Great Lakes Christmas Ale
    Went to dinner before another crazy night of running kids around to multiple practices. Had my first Christmas Ale of the year – glorious.
  5. Lincoln Tap House / Village Wine & Martini – 11.7.2014
    Great Lakes Christmas Ale, 12 Dogs Of Christmas, Manhattan
    Happy hour at the Tap House with some Sherwin co-workers and then dinner with Wife at Village Wine & Martini (sans kiddos!)

    Dinner after church with the family.

    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale / Vienna Lager
    Went to Marko’s to catch up on the WWE’s Hell In A Cell which we’d missed a couple of weeks earlier due to moving.

    Miller Lite, Jack Daniel’s, Patron
    Finally got back to the Annex after (according to Foursquare) nearly 5 months!!! Just the guys tonight but had a blast!

    Went to Abuelo’s with the whole family (in-laws & gramp). I don’t always drink Mexican beer, but when I do, I drink two of them.

    Stopped by the Lizard on the way home to pick up my 2014 Tour Winner’s jacket and simply had to stay for a couple. Had a Thirsty Dog 12 Dogs Of Christmas, a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale (pine cone central) and a Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (glorious).

    Sam Adams Winter Lager
    Went to the Magnes’ for dinner with the kids. I don’t think I’ve ever had Sam Winter Lager and I have to say I really enjoyed it!

    Went to Applebee’s for dinner before heading downtown for the Cavs / Raptors game.

    Went to Mark’s for dinner and to watch WWE Survivor Series. Ales with dinner and whiskey with the PPV. Didn’t think I’d had too much but by the time I got home it was time to go to bed!

    Went to M&M’s for their annual post-Thanksgiving bash. Always a blast but I’ve got a headache from hell this AM.

    Rosenfeld’s for another Thanksgiving dinner with the families. Had a great time as always.  Been quite some time since we’d gotten together.
