So I got on the scale this AM for the first time since Friday. I actually was expecting / hoping to see a smaller number than what I got. While it’s a great thing that I went through the weekend without seeing the number increase I was really thinking I’d be down a bit since Friday as I had a good weekend on the eating front.
Actually… now that I’m typing this note maybe I didn’t do quite as well as I’d thought.
I had some morning carbs on Saturday with a stop at McDonald’s for a couple of McMuffins before heading to Starbucks for a couple of hours of work. Saturday lunch was carb free and dinner was a steak with broccoli However, I did have 2 drinks (Jack & olives) with dinner, split Amanda’s desert with her and had an after dinner Muscato (which we’ve recently gotten into). So I suppose with all those late night carbs Saturday was kind of a bust.
Sunday was good all day too until dinner. Had (only) one Manhattan with Dad tonight but Mom whipped up some apple dumplings with ice cream for desert. Fuck.
On top of that, I’ve got 2 potential roadblocks this week. Drinks and dinner tonight at Quaker Steak & Lube which will mean wings and beer, and dinner Friday night with some friends which will mean drinks as well. In for a long haul…
