237.5 – And We’re Off
It wasn’t pretty… but I got into the water today for the first time in a LONG time. I only managed to do about 500 yards before my stroke completely fell apart but I can honestly say I did some physical activity today which is something I haven’t been able to say in a long time.
Had two sausages for breakfast this morning, Chinese chicken and vegetables for lunch and stir fry for dinner with some lunch meat and a couple of slices of cheese. No cheating and no snacking. Had two cups of coffee and several glasses of water throughout the day.
As I’m sitting here writing it’s been about an hour and a half since I got out of the pool and my pulse is still at 92 which is higher than I’d like but just goes to show that I’ve got a long way to go.
I had a full day of tests scheduled tomorrow as part of an “executive physical”. Out of pocket cost was going to be nearly $4,000 so we decided to cancel. The only real test I was interested in was the CT scan for “the widow maker”. Hoping to get that test at a separate date.
That said… feeling more motivated than I have in a long time.
UPDATE
Had a couple handfuls of peanuts and a Slim Jim as a snack this evening.
