So once again it’s been over a month since my last post here on the blog, and once again I’ve got another failure from a weight perspective. The last couple of days have been good but previous to that I’ve been eating like shit and drinking way too much. My birthday is a mere 20 days away so it’s fair to say that my goal of “40 by 40” is a complete failure.
I haven’t jumped on the scale in the last couple of days, but the last number I saw was 241. I’m guessing I’m down a pound or two from there but I’m still in the upper 230’s which simply isn’t acceptable.
I HAVE been doing quite a bit of walking lately as I got a FitBit for Father’s Day so I’ve been making sure I’m getting in at least 10,000 steps a day. The problem is I don’t have any idea if that’s good, bad or indifferent as I have no idea ho much I was walking before I got the little bugger.
I need to sit down and write some attainable goals and then stick the fuck to them. 40 by 40 was a pipe dream. 50 by 50 is certainly doable, but it’s 10 years out which is way too long. Stay tuned here in the next couple of days. I’m committing to writing down some goals as well as HOW I’m going to attain them. Now I’m off to update my June Behind the Bar (which as of this writing hasn’t been updated since 6/8 and then I’ve got to start in on the July Behind the Bar which as of now hasn’t been created. Way behind.
