Christmas Ale on Father's Day

Behind The Bar July 2018

Christmas Ale on Father's DayThe Behind The Bar series will be used to keep tracking of my drinking throughout the month. This post will be updated during the month of July 2018 as I have a night out or a cocktail at home.

  1. Home – 7.1.2018
    Conway’s, Miller Lite x 2
Had three beers sitting in the driveway with the neighbors. Had a possibility to get out of hand but luckily we had to get the kids to bed early.
  2. Chagrin Valley Country Club – 7.3.2018
    Miller Lite x 2, Whiskey x 2
Went to the club for our traditional 4th of July celebration.
  3. Home – 7.4.2018
    Beer (lots), Glenlivet
Total shitshow. Drank way too much while celebrating the 4th. Didn’t get sloppy necessarily cause I was sweating so much but way out of control. Details here.
  4. Panini’s Bar and Grill (Twinsburg) – 7.17.2018
    Miller Lite – lots
Went out for dinner and drinks to watch the All Star game. Went back to Scott’s house after the game with Scott and Jay to finish the game over a few more beers.
  5. The Mill Restaurant and Bar (Hershey, PA) – 7.19.2018
Old Fashioned Cherry Pie, Jack Daniel’s
Dinner with the whole family (Mom, Dad, Mark, Meg & Kids). This was the most interesting bourbon drink on the menu so I just had to try it. Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Amaretto Disaronno, Organic Vanilla Bitters, Bourbon Soaked Cherry. Great stuff, but after the first I switched back to Jack on the rocks with olives.
  6. Harvest Restaurant at the Hotel Hershey (Hershey, PA) – 7.20.2018
    Bourbon Thyme Collins
Dinner with the whole family (Mom, Dad, Mark, Meg & Kids). This was the most interesting bourbon drink on the menu so I just had to try it. Hidden Still’s Bourbon, Stirrings Ginger Liquer, Fresh Lemon & Fresh Thyme. Yummy!
  7. Big Bass Lake – Poconos – 7.21.2018
    Beer, Mike’s Hard Lemonade
Went up to Maura’s for our annual family reunion. Had maybe three or four beers and a Mike’s with clams and all the fixins. Always an outstanding time.
